Sevenoaks Summer Festival details revealed |

This week sees the launch of the brochure for the Sevenoaks Summer Festival.
>>Download the full brochure here The Festival Fair kick-starts the Sevenoaks Summer Festival on Saturday 21st June in the centre of Sevenoaks Town, with a day of free street theatre, music, stilt walking, Punch & Judy and a featured concert by The Kent Youth Jazz Orchestra.
Over 70 events follow in 33 venues over the 14 days, with something for everyone including drama, dance, fêtes, talks, concerts and workshops of all kinds. Spread across the town and surrounding villages, international artists appearing will include gypsy guitarist Angelo Debarre on June 21st at St Nicholas Church, the leading English Folk Duo Show of Hands at The Sennocke Centre of Sevenoaks School on June 29th, and French jazz pianist Jacques Loussier on July 6th at The Aisher Hall. Highlights will include a Viennese night at Hever Castle, ‘Seussical the Musical’ starring Cheryl Baker at The STAG, meals with music at Ightham Mote, a concert by popular saxophonist Snake Davis at The SHIP, special evening tours of Knole House and guided ‘ghost walks’ around the spooky parts of town.
A special celebrity event is ‘An audience with Peter Sallis in the Sevenoaks Community Centre, when Samantha Norman will interview the iconic actor famous for ‘Last of The Summer Wine’ and the voice of Wallace in ‘Wallace and Grommit’. Workshops include jazz for school children and life classes for adults.
