Hits 64

Mr Gandy (left) sold brushes, sponges, saddles and tack. He was probably well established by the time Mr Outram opened up opposition in 1886. Amos Pett the basket maker (right) was well known in Sevenoaks, being active in many local institutions and a keen cricketer. Most local mothers proudly aired their progeny in one of Mr Pett’s beautifully made basket-work baby carriages. Credit: The Gordon Anckorn reproduced courtesy of Sevenoaks Library
