Anyone fallen foul of the theiving Sevenoaks parking attendants recently?

There seems to be a new climate of "steal as much money as you can" from people parking in Sevenoaks now.

I was recently ticketed for overstaying just 10 minutes on a two-hour ticket. Having returned to my vehicle almost immediately following issue of the ticket and discussed the somewhat over-zealous nature with the parking attendants (who were still working close by, they could have left it a bit longer - plus the car park was only about 30% full) I was bluntly told to appeal if I didn't like it.

The response to the appeal was hilarious. Apparently everyone should pay for an hour longer than they intend to park, so that "slight overstay" tickets can be avoided. The absurdity of this advice obviously bypassed the brainless morons in the Parking Dept.

What a bunch of idiots.
