Sevenoaks District residents with an interest in exotic bird species can enjoy a free event next month.
Places are still available on a bird walk, which will take place on Friday 19 September at 2.30pm from the Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve off Bradbourne Vale Road.
The walk is free of charge to Sevenoaks District Council residents, and will be led by experienced walk leaders who will be able to provide information on the many rare bird species that can be seen at the Wildlife Reserve at this time of year.
Places are strictly limited, and anyone who would like to attend should call Simon Davies on 01732 227374 to book a place, or e-mail

Walkers should wear appropriate footwear and outdoor clothing and be
prepared for a little rain. Children under 16 years old must be
accompanied by an adult.
Cllr Avril Hunter, Sevenoaks District Council Cabinet member with
responsibility for sustainable development, says: “There is a
tremendous range of bird species at the Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve, and
there is no better time of the year to see them, than when the summer
comes to an end and autumn begins. If you are a bird lover, make sure
you book your place on this walk so you don’t miss out on what should
be a thoroughly interesting experience.”
This event is the latest in a series of successful Wildlife Walks
organised by Sevenoaks District Council this year. Over 100 people have
enjoyed Wildlife Walks at Lullingstone Park in June and July, and a Bat
Walk at Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve on August 27 is fully booked.

September, please telephone Simon Davies at Sevenoaks District Council
